Oliver 1550 engine swap

Hello, saw a Oliver 1550 gasser that needed a engine (was froze up from sitting). Always liked the looks of those little guys and was contemplating on it. Just curious, if that engine was junk, what engines ?fit? in these? I?ve heard of some guys putting Perkins or Cummins in some of the 1850?s etc, but what about these? I?m guessing the tub is smaller, so just curious as to what?s been done. Thanks

Also-will ad this, doesn?t have to be a ?Cummins or Perkins?. Definitely interested in other replacement ideas from other Oliver?s as well. Thanks

circle k, My 1555 started life as a diesel and then I dropped a 770 gas then a 1650 283 diesel and since 2011 a 1650 gas. The 770 was a direct bolt in the 1650 is not. A few 5.9 Cummins on You Tube in 1650's which is the same frame as a 1550. I personally would try to rebuild the 1550 gas if possible.

Like Greg says,77 or 770 would be the easiest. I'd recommend a late 770 with the alternator bracket cast in,but it wouldn't be a deal killer if it wasn't that particular engine.
