I am going to look at a 1850 diesel that is for sale about 4 hours from me and I would like to know what things to look for that would be indicators something major is wrong with the tractor. I have no experience with diesel tractors or Olivers. All my experiences has been with JD two cylinders. I know the obvious things to look for like oil color, or oil leaks, or strange sounds, etc. , but would be unique to an oliver 1850 and to a diesel engine that I should look for?
For those interested, you can see the tractor if you search TRACTORHOUSE.COM OLIVER 1850. the tractor is at Lori-Lin Farms in PA.
