Early 70 engine sleeves

Are the earlier 5 gear Hart Parr 70 sleeves and pistons the same as the later 3 gear?

they will interchange but is possible the bore can be differnt

All the model 70 tractor when new had a 3-1/8 inch bore engine. The aftermarket sleeve & piston sets were mostly 3-1/4 inch bore. If you have good 3-1/8 inch bore sleeves on the outside you can also bore them out for 3-1/4 inch pistons giving you a new wearable surface for the rings. Questions? J.

The 3 1/8 sleeves I had weren't thick enough to bore to 3 1/4 as they were necked down a bit in the middle.. I was able to take a set of 3 1/4 sleeves and bore them .030 over using Chrysler 218 or 230 Pistons..
