oliver super 88 diesel engine block is basic engine block the same for both gas and diesel need different block for my super 88

Yes the blocks are the same. Are you going from gas to diesel or the other way? You need to change some items to convert from one to the other.

my previous engine is a diesel I want to keep it a diesel I will use all my diesel parts from previous engine it is easier to find a gas bare block thanks ill keep looking for a block this was my first post a will work at getting good at this

Match the casting numbers behind the starter.

If you find a good gas block with the same casting number buy it and convert it. It is not hard to do.
