i want to upgrade my oliver 1650 with a white 2-70 3 speed. will it work & fit ? any extra parts needed ? txs

Make sure you get the lever and linkage.

If your 1650 does not currently have an over/under or hydra-power you will need to drill and tap the bathtub to install a support bolt. Search the archives here as there was a post a few years ago that had a good set of pictures.

Jim, Do you have the dash from the 2-70? Remember to pull engine and Hydra Power out together as J. Shweibert suggests. Also pull PTO drive shaft out first. On the 2-70 do you have all the tractor just wondering if it might be my old one?

why do i need dash to convert to 3 spd ? i thought 3 spd shifter on side

I can't see why you couldn't use the 2 speed rod just have 3 positions instead of 2,might have to make it little longer.

Jim, Your 1650 has the 3 speed already? I thought you had the 2 speed the Hydra Power Drive.

Make sure you get the oil cooler, lines and bypass valve too.

You can also use an automotive trans cooler and rubber lines. Is your hydrapower cooler good with no leaks? I might be interested. Email is open.
