1750 lube line

I've got a 1750 diesel that I bought a few years ago. I
notced the other day the lube line by the chain
coupler has a hole in it. No lube comes out? I pulled
the filter off the trans and cranked it over, lube came
out. So I guess the pump is working. Is there a
broken line in the trans?

Well maybe. I have not worked for an Oliver dealer since the summer of 76 and I have forgotten some things, There is a Tee fitting on the inside. IF I remember correctly one line from the Tee goes to the line you are talking about and the other end goes to lubricate the top shaft in the transmission. No oil there and the top shaft and low range gear will fail. I would take the cover off and check it all before it cost some major repairs.
