I was wondering if anyone has changed axles on one of these. I'm looking at one with short axles and i need long axles. Is it a decent job to do?

Did they ever make this style hub to fit those? These fit an 1850-1855-2-105 etc.

No I don't believe they did. They did make an extension that looked similar to that , it used the 2-105/110 bolt pattern that fit the early dual hub for the 135/155 . To swap axles you have to jack up the cab and do a complete teardown unless you have complete set then it's not too bad . Getting it balanced so it comes off straight is somewhat of a challenge. No gasket just silicone or gasket replacer for reassembly.

I see unverferth makes a hub that only needs 7" of axle then i could use a spacer from there.

For a tractor that size get the BIG 10 bolt hubs and wheels, 9 bolt on my 9150 DA broke the centers out and pulled some bolt threads out. The 9150 DA has the 2-135- 2-155 rear end. My tractor had some weird dual hubs that fastened to the wheel weight bolt holes on the inside wheels. Why in the hell somebody used that setup is beyond me, tractor has the LONG axles.

Now what do I do it?s these special hubs that weigh 100-150 lbs each, threads are good in 1 hub, the other might be able to use coarse threads and new bolts.
