Coop e3/Cockshutt 30

I recently saw an unusual (in my opinion) wide front on a Coop E3. Does anyone know if the wide front in the attached photos was a Coop/Cockshutt product, or is it some off-brand make someone just put on an E3?

Sorry about the garbage on my recent post - first time on this site.

Cockshutt offered the adjustable wide front in your photo. On a 30, they offered 4 front end options: Tricycle, fixed wide front, adjustable wide front and a single tire front end. There should be a part number cast into the center section starting with a T.

Most of the E3's/30's I have seen that have wide fronts have the sort of square style which I am assuming is the non-adjustable wide front. From a collector's perspective, would one be correct in thinking the adjustable wide front shown in the photos would make an E3 more valuable? To put it another way, if one has the choice of getting either the non-adjustable wide front, or the one shown in the photos, would the latter be the wiser choice?

Yes the adjustable wide front is a more desired front end and will bring a little more when buying or selling.

To each his own. My 30 had the non-adjustable wide front. I converted it to a NF. My 35 has a NF. My 570 Diesel has the wide adjustable front. On the bigger tractors I like the wide adjustable better, On the smaller tractors, I like the NF better.

Hi Jay,

YES, this is original COCKSHUTT built that came out in 1950 for the E3/30 tractor. It is a 1st edition front end. The casting number on top of the cast center section is TF-8901.
