1950T 3 Point Hitch

I have a 1950-T with category III 3 point. The hitch doesn't go down. I don't have anything heavy to put a load on it so maybe it just needs that extra weight. I would think it should go down regardless of any weight on it. What should I check?

I had a similar situation on a White 2-105 a while back. We discovered that the draft control linkage was the cause of our problem thanks to a neighbor who told us about his issues. We played with the draft control and applied some weight to the lift arms then everything started to work as it should. I would try this first and if you still have problems, then start to trouble shoot the hydraulic system. Check system pressure and relief valves. There is a lot of info on the hydraulic system here on the forum. Do a search and you will see a lot of good tips. Good luck and let us know how you make out.

It was a stuck servo valve on my 2150. The 3 point cylinders set so many years with the cylinders being exposed in the up position the cylinders pitted. I ended up replacing the external cylinders. I always lower the 3 point now if it is going to sit very long. Someone can have the old cylinders and housings if they want them. They would work fine, just pitted some.
