This should be an easy on for you guys but I guess not for me.

My 770 was pouring gas out the carb at the intake , So I put a rebuld kit in it adjusted the float.

Put it all together fired it up ran great and thought I was good to go. Came back a little while later to a puddle of gas on the floor. It was doing it again.. What did I do wrong.

Take the bowl off and just hold the needle shut and see if gas leaks from behind the seat. If your needle is brass and does not have a Viton tip is there a line around the tip of the seat indicating the needle is seating.

I'll grant that you need to fix it right, but I got tired of smelling gas every time I walked in to the toolshed,so I put one of these electric shutoffs on my 77,1600 and 500. They open and let gas pass by when I turn on the ignition switch.
