Super 77 brakes--what do I do??

Got it apart. One of the 3 springs was broken. Will buy 3 new springs. Nothing looks bad worn. Disc not to rivets, but have 2 new disc anyway. Balls still round, just need abit of fine sandpaper. So what do I need to do to make this brake operate like it should? It would grab and come on by itself and I would have to back up to get it free. Another question: Anywhere I can buy the park brake lock that hold brake petal down? Both mine broke several yrs ago. Thanks, LB

I would get new springs and balls, clean the splines on the shaft and in the disks and blast the expander parts. Also remove any rust from the face of the cover plate and the face of the brake housing or they can still be grabby. I like to put about one pump of grease in each of the ball sockets and a little on the splines, but not too much so it doesn't get on the brake lining. Do the exact same thing to both sides, so they brake evenly and don't pull the tractor to one side.

Brake fixed. Biggest problem was linkage on actuator was stuck, not letting it work free and stay on when you used brake. Now, I still need a parking brake lock.
