Thanks for your response John, I should have been a bit more specific. I know the turbo engine requires a rod modification but was unsure of na engines. Also am unsure if injector sealing washers require changing. Seems as though we did a 2-105 but can,t remember if we changed inj. tips and or washers. Age has it's drawbacks.....

We put DOT 4 pistons in an early 2-105 engine. Had to get the rod eyes tapered to match the piston. We used the pump and injectors from our 1850 that was running around 180hp. We eventually used the 2-105 pump after the other put fuel in the oil. Either way it ran great and now have reliability thanks to the DOT 4 pistons with steel ring lands. This made one awesome engine for an 1850. We done that probably 8-10 years ago. Still makes me smile when we go pulling and use it on the farm.

Thanks for sharing your experience with this modification. As I recall, the 2-105 that we did made a very happy customer also, however I remain apprehensive on this 1850.
. If it was my tractor I would likely go for it, but prefer to not have any issues with a customers tractor, that said I am leaning in that direction. Thanks again.

I agree on the age thing!. Some Perkins heads have injector tubes and not sealing washers. Send me an e-mail if you have more questions.
