What's an Oliver 77 like this worth?

"Oliver 77 gas tractor. Dual hydraulic, live pto,13.6-38 size tires. 80% lug. No front shields, runs good."

I'm wondering if I could buy it, swap the tires for some 25% tires that I have and resell it for not too much of a loss.
Thanks

Buyers are sensitive to the condition of the rear tires. I have not seen a 77 sell in quite some time now but one with ordinary (worn) tires would sell for 1250-1500 dollars is my guess. I think most buyers would go the extra 500-600 dollars to get the good rubber. You can try to buy it to make the turn you want but odds are who ever comes to you will be savvy enough to set a price based on what the tractor has for rear tires and then make an offer. I will further guess that it will take 1800-2000 dollars to buy it the way it sits. The only way you will know is to go check it out and ask the owner what he wants for it.

Well looks like his price is decent. I'd go with cash and a trailer and see what he'd take. Not sure what they go for in your area, but I'd think you could break even.

They are popular with pullers and you have the lightweight front hubs/wheels and the pressed steel wheels on the rear pullers want.If you could find a set of rear tires that are road worn
that'd be a plus for pullers.Prices vary like crazy.

Tires are half the value of most older tractors. If you can buy it right, you may be able to swap the tires and resell it for around $500 less than you paid for it. You would be out the time it takes to change two sets of rear tires and your hauling costs.

Well,
He sold it.
He was asking $1050 for it.
It had Co op tires on it.
I don't think they make those anymore do they?
Any idea how long it's been since they were made.
Anyway,
Thanks to all.
