Had one on an old 70 I bought for parts. It used the drawbar braces for support and was attached with pieces welded to the drawbar and supports. The drawbar was still usable. The gearbox on it was driven via a roller chain to a sprocket attached to the PTO. Since it had it's own gearbox, it could be shifted from line in to neutral to line out. It could also be stopped obviously by pushing the clutch in since a 70 does not have live PTO. It had 1/2" cable, and a drum that was probably 16" wide and 4" in diameter. It was quite interesting. I wish I'd saved it now...

looked at the commercial units used by loggers, they come with a skid plate to help keep the tractor in place...a cheap back or box blade could work with the winch mounted on it.

I think electric is the way to go...the tractor can remain in gear.
