Brookville tractor show

Stopped at this show in Brookville IL. on our way home from Tn. Was worth the side trip. Nice show grounds and lots of displays and fleas. Oliver was the feature tractor. got these pics of some the more rarer stuff. 1. Have read something on this tractor, but don't remember just what the story was. 2. silo blower. 3. Self propelled chopper. 4. Chopper wagon. I have never seen one. 5. Hillside plow. Notice the lever between the handles to switch it from left to right. Ones I have seen have a kick lever behind the bottom. 6. What I think is a crop drier. Has an 88 or 880 motor. Last, the big Moline. This is just a taste of all that was there.

It is not a crop drier. It is an air blast sprayer. Fox head would fit those Oliver choppers. We had one around here with a Fox pick-up head. Nice pictures!

I wondered later if it was sprayer, but I didn,t look it over very close as we were short on time and lots to see. Got the idea of a drier from a new Holland drier I knew of years ago.

I love #1. If White had only kept the Oliver brand ... and just updated the look. I like the angled hood. They could have just re-designed the cast iron grille and that with a few other cosmetic changes may have been enough make everyone happy and keep the name going.

I wonder if the designer of the 4-digit series was still around at that time. I remember he was mentioned in that book 'Oliver Tractors'.

I haven't seen that 8160 out and about in years. It's an 1855 with a Cummins and a White 6000 series cab.

Looks like it to me. It looks like that one has a long lever to trip the latch. All four of mine have a latch that you have to kick with your foot.

Married2Allis, My 1989 White has the angled hood and Cummins engine! Some say it looks like a lawnmower tractor.lol

My son and Granddaughter and his girlfriend had fun with it at the tractor show. Was thinking about taking it to a local tractor pull but that will have to be next year. My new favorite photo!
