Fiat Oliver I think

My brother came across a Oliver today Serial plate says made in Itaty. Model # 2452221, Serial # 150078 Can someone tell me the model and year

Import Tractor Parts is probably the best source for Fiat-Oliver tractor info. I am sure that they have a serial # chart somewhere in the extensive web site.

Here is the table for re-badged Fiat tractors: Oliver, Cockshutt, MM etc.

I don't know much about the Oliver imports. I have read where some models were not very good. Is the 1450 one of the tractors to stay away from.

Had a 2-50 White that I think was Fiat-Italian made. Was probably one of the best small utility tractor ever made from that time .

I can't imagine what it would take to get me to trade off my 1365,but they were a whole different animal than the earlier ones.

I have a 1450 4WD brute of an old tractor, starts easy runs good. Not real handy takes a lot of area to turn it around, parts are where you find them but since I have 2 more for
parts I don't have much trouble finding them.I wouldn't put a lot of $$$ in one I gave $1000 for the 4WD.

Here's a direct link to the good, the bad and the ugly of them.

I have no idea about the accuracy of information on the Fiat built tractors on that list, but the comment that the David Brown built Oliver 500 being hard and expensive to get parts for is incorrect in my experience.

I've not needed much in the ~28 years I've owned it, but what I have needed was readily available through the closest Case IH to me. Gaskets, fuel lift pump, water pump, TCU cable are all that come to mind and prices were reasonable too.

Yea I don't necessarily agree with some of his assessments on the tractors, with David Brown tractors most of the time there are several models that have a lot of parts in common.

By the time you get yours restored you'll find out how hard to get and expensive those parts can get. LOL
