I ordered a set of rod bearings for a 770 gas ( Clevite CB 451 P ) standard size. What i received was (FM 1880 CP ) standard size. they measure the same , look the same. But after putting in three sets i can hardly turn the motor over. I have made sure to put connector rods back in same direction as they came out. Anyone know if these Fm 1880 C P bearings are are supposed to fit.
 
The numbers are correct. Check the back of the inserts and make sure they are standard. Have you had the connecting rods sized? They get out of round!

Did you plastiguage them? Are you sure the caps and inserts are in correct?
