oliver 500;in regards to picture of 500 in st johns mi;that was me on the way back home [Muncie in].had come from mackinaw bridge crossing -what a blast-first time. anyway ive been following discussion forum for years- just now answered.not good on this machine.hope to maybe pu t my 2 cents worth in once in a while.thank you .
 
I think you were the fellow I talked to while waiting for the parade to start, there was a Farmall 400 behind you, and I had the Farmall 560 with the truck cap for shade just behind him. Hope you had a safe trip home, glad you could bring the 500.
 
Hope you'll jump on the forum more often then. Is yours the one with the 8 bolt wheels that was at the first gathering?
 
at the gathering my tractor was in the row of 500s next to the later one it had ahomemade drawbar and a long handle on pto.ive had it about 20 years;redone recently. my dad bought one new in1960-what ipretty much learned to drive on.rrund watching your progrees-parts are hard to come by-improvising done on mine.also, guy on 560, that was me you talked to-enjoyed our chat.ihad this 500 at floida flywheelers on run through the groves and now at mackinaw. never dreamed what was ahead when I was going broke in the 80s. thanks.
 
That was me that posted that, I live right near St. Johns, and I figured you were headed back from the bridge. My brother was up there with our AV Farmall. I saw you go through the intersection ahead of me, and told the wife to snap a picture behind you, and as we went by you. She missed the side view one. When I first saw it, I wasn't sure if it was a 500 or 600, I'm no expert like Randy is on them, but I knew it was one of the two, and wanted to show a picture of it to Randy. That is a real straight, sharp looking tractor you have there.
