Oliver 550 Overheat

My gas Oliver 550 cooling runs within the green on most days, however, when it is hot, 80F plus I have trouble with it overheating. I have had the radiator cleaned, I inspected the water pump and the fan fits the fan shroud. Is there a 5 or 6 blade fan available that would fit the 550?

Have you checked your gauge for accuracy?

I have not, but when I shut the tractor off it blows steam out of the overflow pipe, so I am pretty sure I am running too hot.

Had the same issue, replaced thermostat - fixed my problem.

That might be, I did replace the thermostat when the radiator was cleaned.

Late timeing can cause over heating.

Did you have the radiator boiled out on the inside or just cleaned outside?

I had it boiled and pressure tested, no leaks were found. I have this problem with all of my old Olivers, usually I put an extra electric fan in front of the radiator and the increased air flow solves the problem. Unfortunately the 550 has the fiberglass grill and there is not enough room for an electric fan.
