Someone told me the guy over here know there Waukesha engines. Has any buddy replace piston in an FL 113 or FC 123 with other than original? Like Farmall 113 pistons and rings. Would like some feed back Thanks

O. K. Let us make sure we are on the same page. FC Waukesha + 3-14 inch bore. Has your engine been bored if so to what oversize? The compressionheight is different than any of the 3.350 bore engines I checked.

I was told FL and FC were the same block FL 3" and FC 3 1/8" bore. Can pistons and rings be gotten new for these engines and where?

Which engine do you have and what is the bore now? Do you have the pistons out of it and can measure them up as well as measuring the rings. We had an A-C fork lift at work with an FC engine and it needed an overhaul. We could not find a set of pistons the same size 25 years ago anymore so we got 4 pistons of at least 2 different over sizes and bored the block to fit the pistons. You should will be able to find rings by measuring them up.

It is an FL that is to sloppy to leave at 3" so must go to 3 1/8 over bore would need 4) piston and ring set, 1) new rod
And than the crank has to be cut on rod journals mains are good. Was thinking of changing over to IH A,B,C 123 ci. piston rings and rods with removable rod bearings. I could get 20 under and cut the crank to fit. Has anyone ever done this?

Your rods need to be honed 20. You would need to cut the tops off the piston to get the correct compression height. Your pins are also different size.

J. Schwiebert, I was going to Put in IH rods with 20 under bearing and have the crank cleaned up. The rods will need to be ground down a little in width to fit the crank. Than you have 3 1/8" IH pistons with correct IH pins. Like you said I will have to check piston height, I think it looks like it will be fine.

When I get the two side by side I will see how and if it will work. This tractor will never see and work just need it to run to go to shows.
