2-105 noisey transmission

Hello, I have a 2-105 that seems loud in the higher gears. Something like a gear rubbing noise. Everything works ok just noisey. This tractor never leaves the farm except I had to run down the road today to mow some pasture. The only thing wrong with it is it leaks some hyd. Oil into the rear end. I just drain it now and then. Is the hyd oil too thin for the rear end? Everything works great till today.

It shouldn't be. They solved the "Oliver whine" with helical gears. My 2-105 doesn't have any noticeable whine to it.

First off do not let the 80w90 oil in the rearend get diluted with hydraulic oil. When the 2-150s and 2-105s first came out White thought they could use hyd. oil in the transmission and rearend after a few top shaft seizures and rear end problems they realized they were wrong and put out a service bulletin advising dealers to change all of them back to 80w90.Plus they sent stickers to put in owners manuals changing the oil recommendations back to 8w90. The transmission noise could be something as simple as worn out cab mounts allowing metal to metal contact between the cab and trans. housing. Be sure to check both the front and rear mounts. There have been many transmission noise complaints fixed by replacing cab mounts
