1958 Oliver 550 lift

Have a Oliver 550 with a lot of problems.Looking for information on the lift. When cold lift will pick up equipment but squeals after lift raises to the top. After tractor warms up lift will not pick up equipment. The hyd system has new oil and filter. Any advice or ideas would be great.

Get a 3000 PSI pressure gauge and start by checking pump pressure both with cold and oil at operating temperature!

where would be the best location to connect the pressure gauge, if pressure is good what else should I look for? when I got tractor you could move lift control 1" and lift would go to top and sound like relief valve was bypassing until you lowered the control lever. thanks for advice
