500 gas question

Here's a question I should have asked a long time ago I guess. I feel foolish even asking, but where is the starter button supposed to be mounted on a 500?

Somebody had changed mine to a key start with a solenoid and I was going to just leave it that way,but I've been thinking better of it. The original button was in the toolbox along with a plate that mounts it somewhere. It has the original battery cables yet,so I know it must mount right there where the solenoid is somehow, somewhere,I just don't see any holes where it bolts on.

I've got something that everybody said I'd never find for one,an owners manual, but that doesn't show it. I got on Agcopartsbooks and that doesn't show it either.

How about an off/on ignition switch? Did they use a key,and where was that switch originally mounted?

Well I found where the button goes. Got it re mounted. I need to know about the key switch though. Somebody rewired the whole thing. The whole harness is gone and has been replaced with home made wiring,so the original fuse block is gone. They had a newer spade type fuse block. I still have that on it. I know it's not right,I just hope nobody else is too quick to notice.
