Alternative paint color 2-105?

Gonna repaint my 2-105, 1977 model. Want to make it look a little nicer, thought about adding the red stripe to it. Curious if anyone has done Oliver Green or done anymore red on one?

You could put the second series red decal on the side of the hood. Just paint the hood side Argent Silver instead of the darker color so it'll stand out. When they and the 2-85s were at their absolute rock bottom value and popularity,I threatened to buy one and paint it green.
Here's a 2-70 that somebody painted. I don't know if that's quite the scheme I'd have gone with. Maybe some black on the grill or something like that.

I'm thinking of something like that. Seems I saw a White American tractor at the county fair many years ago painted Oliver green

I'm almost thinking of painting cab red and painting red strip on side panels and black added somewhere

I would think it would look sharp with the sheet metal and cab painted the oliver green, but keep all the chasis and motor black.

Now that looks sharp. Wish that red had got finished would have liked to see that. Thanks

hayray, Less than 2000 were built of the 60 and 80's combined. We bought this tractor new in 1989 and production was halted in 91. Tractor pull picture was August 1991 and I got 2nd place. Turboed Ford 5000 beat my little stock 3.9 4 cylinder Cummins with 3 speed.

They could be ordered in Silver (White), Green (Oliver), red (Cockshutt), and yellow (Minnie Moline). They were trying to bring back some of the old customer base by offer the old brand colors. They were good tractors from my understanding but since they came out at the end of the 80s sales wasn't the best I think. Also if they were ordered in Green, Red, or Yellow it added $500 to the price, which at a time when most farmers were trying to spend as little as possible most of them were painted Silver. The other big push with them was at the time most or all tractors in their HP class were made overseas where these were American made, hence how they came up with the name.

To go along with you actual post I have seen a 2-150 painted like a Moline that was pretty sharp.
