Also they are the same as the early David Brown 990, the ones painted red.

Thanks, Crooked Rows- Turns out not to be highly exciting.
Local IH dealer took in a 500 in trade back in the late 70's- seems like that thing was around for years. Bet I could have got it for a song and sung it myself. But all I knew at that time was it was an off-breed, and figured it would be impossible to get parts for. Oh, well.
