rear drive ratio

I have an 1855 Oliver with mfd. I was wondering how many times is the driveshaft to the front supposed to rotate during 1 revolution of the rear tire? With help and while in 4 wheel drive, I counted 29.5 while the tractor drove ahead for 1 revolution of the rear tire. I was wondering if I used the right method and have the right number? Would it have changed if the wheel was off the ground and turned by hand?

The gear ratio number is stamped into the top of the differential assembly that bolts into to the big axle housing pig on the front axle. I think there are 3 or 4 different ratios they used.

Sorry, I was referring to the rear part of the tractor with the Big tires. True as you said for the front diff it did have a tag but the ratio on it was wrong. It said 24-1 but it is definitely 20 rotations to one. Now I want to make sure I get the rear ratio right.
