J. Schwiebert, we spoke over a year ago regarding crank and connecting rod bolts. At that time, you informed me to use 6 or 12 pt bolts on the connecting rods, I cant remember which to use. Can you chime in and clarify this for us. We bought a parts tractor for the motor thats supposedly been overhauled 1200 hrs ago. What to clarify this crank and connecting bolt issue before we install it.

I'm not certain on the replacement of the bushing, the invoice provide is very vague.. that would be really foolish if they didn't. It was a $8700 overhaul, so the guy should have gotten something for his buck!

What is so different in a 12 pt bolt vs a 6 pt bolt?

Looking thru the oil drain hole, we can see the crank caps are 6pt bolts and the connect rods are 12pt...are we good to go?

Agco or Korves has the 12 pt. bolts and 1 piece bushings, it is my understanding that the bushings are actually for a Case 188 dsl. engine according to the labeling on the package
