Sparky's Sale Results

I looked at the prices a little early today and thought with the exception of the Moline orchard and a few others the prices could be a little soft for tractors that appear to be in really nice condition. with tractors of that quality for that amount of money one could buy a really nice simply built tractor and put them right back to work on the farm and get some good trouble free use.

If all the MFWD tractors were in good mechanical shape I thought they we bargains for what they sold for. The paint jobs and rubber on them were a free bonus in my opinion. I am restoring a 2150 now and I have a lot more in it than these sold for, not even counting the labor. I guess that's what makes this so interesting. You will see prices like this and then 6 months later you will see them out the roof again.

I'm not real sure what level of restoration they were, all most all of them had cheap tires. I thought they were probably not that far off of there value. A few of them that I looked at the pics up close were just a paint job, and decals not installed correctly on some. Details make a huge diff in value, I would say you are restoring the 2150 the same way I do, better than new

e, On the1950T 4WD it said only Cockshutt 1950T with dual air cleaner's. This one has dual air cleaners a couple miles from here maybe for 1969?

I'm not shocked. The spread between the 500 Hi Crop and the 1265 mudder seems kind of wide to me and is a little surprising.

How many of these were purchased to take home and use? The way grain prices are I thought they might be cheaper than what they were. Lot of uncommon items!

JD 7020. The more I thought about it I will have to agree with you. I wonder how many of them you could take to the field and work and not have some problems. I also noticed the off brand tires in the listings. The 2150 had the wrong air cleaner bonnet on it. Looks like one of them old turbo 2 bonnets. Most all the 2150's I have seen regardless of the paint job have pretty tough looking side sheet metal when you see them up close. I guess what I was saying in my first post is that I would not let mine go for that price, but I don't think that one and mine are close on the level of the restoration. Not trying to P-- anyone off or offend anyone, just giving my opinion. By the looks of your pictures you do a first class restoration on your tractors.

that comment about the air cleaners was just babble.ALL cockshutt 1950 T's with mfwd had 2 air cleaners . I don't think any standard or row crop cockshutt had the single air cleaner, only the last few green ones made in 1969 had that.
