2-110 hydraulics

Hey guys been working on a 2-110 this past week. The problem it has is the hydraulics get very hot in a short amount of time. Flow tested at remotes. I get 2400 relief pressure and I have 12 gpm. I in stalled a new filter cause it looked bad. I also changed the relief spring. The old one felt soft compared to the new one. What I'm looking for is the procedure on how to check and adjust the compensator. I have a IT manual but it does not cover this. Thanks for any help!

Define "short amount of time".

Did you do the case drain line test? Get it warmed up,take off the small line that comes out of the top of the pump, clamp a hose to the fitting on the pump, put the other end in a bucket and start the tractor. It should drain about a quart every 15 seconds. The more it dumps out,the worse shape the pump is in.

In less then ten minutes it's at 200 degrees. I have not checked the case drain yet. The pump is not that old but it came from a not so good hydraulic shop. This same guy had the same problem with a 105 and I installed a new pump and had to change the relief spring. That tractor worked fine after that. I'm trying to rule out the pump but is starting to look like it might be the problem. Thanks for the reply.

The compensator is set at less than relief valve setting. Run the press down to 2000, then start to increase it Can you hear the pump kick out? I will need to look up the exact specs. You have e-mail?
