Can get a head with number 221802 on it,all the numbers except the 8 are cast into the head but the 8 is stamped on a flat space between the 1 and the 0.
Will this head fit a 1650? If not what does it fit?

That is the Waukesha casting number. The Oliver part number will be stamped toward the exhaust manifold side. Most likely it will be a six digit number with the letters AS behind the numbers. What is the problem with your old head. If it is cracked most of them crack. You need to tell me where the crack is.

The only other number I can find is under the thermostat housing SG 51787.The old head is at the shop being checked for leaks, number 2 cylinder area had been pinned before so I'm thinking that's most likely the issue.I'm going to go ahead and buy this other head anyway its been cooked, checked and had new inserts and valves installed and at a very good price.Hope it will work.
The other head is about 50 miles away so I can't put them side by side right now.

OK more on the head I took the head up and compared it to the block everything looked like it was matching up.However when I sat it on the block the front thermostat housing on the head
hits the top of the water pump, have about 1/2 inch too much water pump housing.Went and checked out the water pump on the White 2-70 appears that is the right height as its lower profile and it seems the bolts line up.Can I make a water pump for the White 2-70 work on the 1650? Would love to use this head as it has no cracks at all.

434 978 4944.Its definitely an early type head, big injector holes etc.Pins line up on my block, actually there is only about a 1/4 inch gap which I can grind off the tab on the water pump I think without
hurting anything. All States Ag lists the 221802 head as fitting 1800,1750 and 1650 which ones I don't know.Of course always have to be wary of parts place listings.

".All States Ag lists the 221802 head as fitting 1800,1750 and 1650 "

That can't be correct. All 1800's were indirect (Lanova) heads, and all 1750's were Direct Injection. 1650's could be either, depending on vintage.

I suppose it may 'FIT'; but it wouldn't necessarily WORK.

Not only that but the Lanova chamber is a different size cc wise on an 1800 when compared to a 1650. The 1650 will start hard with the 1800 head.

Update on the head.Couple friends came by Sunday one is a mechanic at the AGCO dealer and the other was there too up until he took another mechanic job. They said they didn't think they'd seen this
number head before but after doing some measurements think it'll work, and all its going to cost me to try is the gasket kit.If it doesn't work out we're going to pull the engine out of
the 2-70 White parts tractor and use it.
