cant get a 1 way cylinder to stay down on my 1850 switched sides and hoses but with a disc mower it will still gradually go up what am I missing

Which side do you have it hooked up to? Did you adjust the bleed screw? How about the bypass bolt for the 3 point down by your right foot?

Had same issue on my 1650 with a sickle mower. The adjustment screw only helped a little. Ended up putting a 2-way cylinder on instead.

I've wondered if you could just make a jumper hose. Put a male tip on it and put the other end in where the return goes for the power beyond. Plug it in to the other coupler when you use a one way cylinder so there's someplace for the oil to go. Will it work?

The problem is those 50 series seem to always have some pressure on both sides no matter where the lever is. So, in the middle, it still lets some pressure past. I think maybe a ball valve inline could work, or a valve dumping to the reservoir, but both would require turning the valve each time you wanted to lift/lower the mower.
