The 1600 that I asked about the steering on. The one that sold for $1600 on the neighbor's estate sale Saturday. Comes with the plow that he bought for $375. A bargain at $3700. No mention in the ad about the steering being junk.

I was just going to post it for you, but dang you beat me too it! I sure didn't realize things appreciated that fast in less than a week. I wonder if he is selling due to the steering issue, or he is just a flipper and bought it knowing he'd turn right around and double his money?

I'd bet he bought it with the idea of flipping it. I don't know why he'd let the plow go too if he'd bought either one to use.
Love the part about "I bought it from the original owner". The original owner died about two and a half years ago. His wife just passed recently.

This guy is selling our new idea haybine he bought at dad's auction last year for around $400 if I remember right.

Newer sickle in it, and guards with less than 3 years on them. Honestly not to bad of a price knowing what I know about the machine, but still not stellar. It had a few minor issues that needed some attention, but I wouldn't have hesitated to cut hay with it this year.

It ticks me off that he had it on CL two days after he bought it. I talked to him after the sale and told him the steering was bad. I don't think he had time to fix it in that little bit of time. If I wasn't such a nice guy,I'd put an ad on there myself telling where he got it,what he paid and what's wrong with it. He has to live with what he's doing, but somebody's gonna get burned.
