Mounted Planters

Just looking for info on Oliver mounted planters. Like have you seen one or multiple and have you seen for sale or seen them sell and how much? Also if you have seen how many rows and if they were check row or not, and hydraulic, trip, or hand lift. Mainly just looking into how common and when they are out how much they bring.

I've got a two row pipe mount that dad used on the 66 when I was a kid. I couldn't tell you what the model number is. It's a mechanical lift. It used most of the same linkages and stuff that the cultivator used. Had two piece sprockets that clamped around the axles and a flat link chain ran off them. Markers bolted to the end of the pipes and lifted with ropes through brackets that bolted to the top of the fenders.

When I first looked at the post, I thought that you were inquiring about late planters like the Seed Boss line. The Omaha Branch sold a lot of the three point mount 5700 planters.

In the irrigated area that the branch served the crops rows come all the way to the end of the field. The irrigation pipes are laid across the end of the rows, thus headland rows are not planted, thus they plant until the nose of the tractor is at the edge of the road ditch, then back around and start evenly with the next rows. A lot of 12 or 16 row planters used here.

I've actually found two pipe mount planters one is a two row check corn planter and other is a 4 row that drives off sprocket on axle. They are just unsure if they want to sell and if they do for how much so figured I'd attempt a bit of my own research.
