This may seem like a dumb idea

Shattered my left heel in a freak fall off a piece of equipment about 12 days ago. Obviously not putting any weight on it nor am I using it clutch. Now I am back to driving a tractor but using my right foot to clutch. One draw back is I can't use the clutch and brakes at the same time. I remember our MM G706 having a hand clutch but those have seemed to gone on the wayside. Has any one rigged up a hand operated clutch for an Oliver 1855 or White 2-105? I think the clutch systems are slightly different in a foot operated clutch versus a hand clutch. The hand clutch would be an over center while the foot clutch is pressure off when depressed. Just seeing if anyone has ever seen anything like this. Still got 7 more weeks of no use on my schedule.

Mike, Looked up hand control levers and is a pic in disability work tools. It's a lever that is fastened to the existing foot clutch. Hope this helps cost was around $140.

Many years ago Dad bought a Ford 3000 from an estate. Very low houred tractor in excellent shape. It had a hand clutch of some sort as well as the regular foot clutch. The original owner had it put on because he couldnt use the foot clutch only. This one was set up so he could use both at the same time, the hand clutch had a long handle and the way it was set up you pulled back on that lever at the same time pressed in the clutch. It didn't look that cobbled up and did work. We didn't need it so removed it.

I know of a 4020 that was driven by a guy in a wheel chair. He simply used the clutch levers off a two cylinder tractor. It actually was a simple set up.

if i remember correctly , my parts book for an 1855 ,under special equipment / options , shows an optional hand operated clutch , now whats the odds agco would still have some of them laying around

Post some part numbers. I always enjoy looking for something, even if I dint need it myself.
