radiator screen replacement

How critical is this screen...things been rotted away for years so I'm guessing, not so much. Does anybody have a source... 1850 gas

Local dealer has one... $110...that's insane. I'd like it to be factory but that's nuts.

go to hardware store and buy some 1/8" screen and cut out your own, clamp on with grill. 1/8" works good, wont plug as easily, what it doesnt stop should go right thru radiator anyways

I plan on making one if I can't find one that isn't a crazy price.

Fan blade got pushed into the radiator, screens out so I thought I'd replace it...100 bucks for a screen is an insult to far.
Radiators getting repaired.

I've seen thicker ridged screen in sheets, be bigger holes but would stop any damaging crap and they come in colors. :)

I used hardware cloth on my 1550. I just put metal screws on the inside of the grill in the metal strips where the original screen slides in.

I would not run without one, mine all collect a ton of crap that would otherwise get embedded in the oil coolers or radiator. Bought one without one time, made a screen using aluminum stock, a few rivets, and aluminum screen. Cheap.
