Oliver 1450 transmission/gearbox

[size=18:2e2dd186d7][/size:2e2dd186d7] Howdy, this is my first post so I'll start with a simple stupid question.

Where do I fill the transmission and gearbox from? I have the owners and the service manual and the pics don't match my tractor.

It' a beautiful great running machine. Spent the farm buying it.

I know that was not the best choice now but hey...

I hope the farm you spent wasn't worth much. I've got a feeling we're gonna be seeing a lot of you on here.

On the left side below the foot rest there is plug for the transmission.Does yours have a loader? There was a 1450 with a loader for sale about 20 miles from me about a month ago.
Old tractor ran and operated good think he wanted around 3k for the outfit.I have a running 4WD 1450 and a couple 2WD parts tractors, just don't let the coolant get low and don't
overheat the engine and you should be fine.

(quoted from post at 07:15:58 05/16/17) Post the serial number and your e-mail. J.

As best as I can read the hieroglyphics... 146626 The first (1) and fifth (2) numbers being my best guess.

Thanks!

Prolly become a fixture here. I did find all the other lube points and they had been used regularly.

Broken shear bolts, blown hydraulic lines, catastrophic U-Joint failures, bent exhaust pipe and a worked once and died ignition switch. Already fixed these.

Saving the hard stuff for here.

:D

Yes, the 1410. Found the fill, it was on an angle and not what I was looking for.

80/90 gear oil, yes? And this does the transmission and gearbox together?

I'll put the hydraulic oil away, couldn't find a use for it on this tractor.

Thanks! I was able to load up 1 pic but will have to try a few more times.

There we go...

The hydraulic oil goes in the unit under the seat.90 wt in the rear. Also has final drives that need 90W oil.Where do you live? Pretty sure that's the tractor I looked at.

That's the tractor,I drove it around seemed to be in pretty good shape.I have books on those tractors if I can help just send me an email. There is a salesman at Ridgeview New Holland
in Orange that worked for Swann Equipment in Culpeper back when those tractors were sold. He's a walking history book on Olivers in the area. That tractor was sold by Swann from what I could find out.

Yeppers, Ridgeview even delivered it to me. I have a number of things going on of course. My email is posted above in this thread so please send one so I have an address to respond to.
