if you would will you email me your no so I can talk to you about a problem with an 1850 gas used and worked on them for 30 years but this one has me beat----will run fine for 15-20 minutes then you have to play with choke and It will only run at a fast idle then it may go back to running fine for 15-30 minutes just bought it and when we got it-- it had 10 clothepins on fuel line plus a vent hole drilled in fuel cap---what am I missing

Had one do that it had the little fuel pump on the right side of the motor pumping the gas all the way around the hot engine. Did away with the pump ran a rubber line straight from tank to carb, works fine tank is plenty high enough to gravity feed the carb.

Reminds me of a ford i had it didn't have a pump but there was a filter not mentioned in any book on the front by the radiator. The line worked fine unless you but ethonal gas in then if it got hot it would vapor lock . so ran regular gas and no corn and it was fine otherwise you had trouble.

Yea heat and ethanol are not a good combination.I had a D10 Allis Chalmers I was using to mow hay and after about 30 minutes on a hot day it would start to miss and sputter at times
after leaving the hood off it was fine, guess the heat under the hood was heating up the fuel tank enough to affect the alcohol in it.And moving the line away from the engine block is good
too to help cool the fuel mixture, used to do it on all my pulling tractors.

I will throw a guess that you still have that worthless MS carb on it? I was having the same trouble for years and found the problem to be the carb icing. The tractor would run great for a while but then when I would see the gas cap dripping, expect it to not want to run long after that.
