Went to an auction in central WI today near Mosinee. Two tractors on the bill. The White 2-70 had a rebuilt injector pump and new clutch and pressure plate installed. It had an earlier White cab but was in real nice shape with about 3700 hours. It got $6,400.
The MM G 850 had the injector pump redone also last fall. Oliver green Hiniker cab, green right rear axle and both front spindles. White black 3 point lower left lift arm on the back. It didn't start without either. The owner said he didn't get the pre-heater fixed, but the White started right up. It rattled like crazy on start up with the shot of either but settle down. Owner seemed to like to use either on most of his other start ups. Smoke was blue and it seemed like it needed an overhaul. About 3734 hours on it. It brought $13,600. Two younger guys were bidding on it. One interesting note is that although the tractor was yellow with the exception of the part indicated, it looks like it might have been painted green at one time. It had small blotches of green on most of the rear end casting. Doesn't look like it was repainted recently and had a few extra decals, like a wiring diagram decal in the cab by the dash and decal covering the hydraulic oil near the dipstick in back.
After the auction I went home and needed to use my 1855 from the same vintage year. Started right up without a pre-heater or either and burned clean.
