does anyone know how much manifold pressure a 310 in an 1855 should have? Reason for asking is i replaced turbo , new one has bigger compresser & turbine wheels , tractor has fresh overhaul w/ all rebuilt injection ran good with old turbo very little (black) smoke . now it seems to smoke all the time even has some white smoke mixed in like it has incomplete combustion. i gave the shop the original numbers off turbo which are correct according to Garret/airsearches web site. also i put my hand over aircleaner stake to test filter light w/ old turbo & it sucked hard, new turbo hardly sucks air at all or at least not like old one did. old turbo had a nice whistle, new one hardly makes a sound. maybe someone had this problem befor ? i will be calling shop tomarrow about this issue & dont want to be played as a fool

I'd guess the boost under load should be 8-10 PSI at least. Turbine housings come in different A/R ratios, maybe yours has one too large for the engine to spool up correctly.
