2150 rear tire and hub installed

Here is a couple of pictures of the painted cast center and rim installed on the 2150 today using unpainted grade 8 hardware. Also put 2 weights on the inside of the cast center before I installed it.

Looks very sharp. I think the plated bolts look better than painted. We're all those wedge blocks on there? Mine have never had that many. I thought mine were silver too. Very sharp tractor, excellent job.

Nice job ! I do like the look of the unpainted bolts too ! Also like the inside weights. Our 1650 and 1750 each have one set and inside and one outside. On the inside keeps it clean looking ! Did you opt for regular white paint or is it really clover white ? Your tractor your choice ! Just wondering !

It's not white paint. It all depends on how the light hits it. It does have a slight green tint to it. I woulnd't give you 5$ for a 55 gallon drum of the s--t Agco sells as clover white. We bought a 2255 new when they came out and I believe this is a pretty close match to it. This is automotive paint that I use. Everyone has there own preference, this is mine.

I have never seen a 50 series with this many wedges either. The ones I have seen only have 12 or less. The rear cast centers are cast and drilled for 16. I think it makes the tractor look bad a-s with 16 wedges so I added 4 more. I believe the wedges from the factory were silver. I think it was like a galvanised coating on them.

Larry no matter what it looks awesome ! It's hard to tell in the pic what it actually looks like Our biggest as far as numbers is an original paint 1755. Can't wait to see yours done !

The pictures do make it look more white then it really is. There are so many factors in paint from lighting to the color of the primer used, to the hardener, to the amount of thinner. I look at my hubs and rims and from one angle they look to have to much tint, then the next angle they look to white. I guess you just use what ever you like. Probably can't tell of the true color until it gets outside in natural light. I am not saying the Agco paint is bad, it just has to much green tint in it for my personal liking. I used the PPG Omni before and liked it so I have stuck with it. The supplier I used to get it from dropped the PPG line, so I had them mix a gallon of there new brand using the same formula. It ended up being way to green for me so I had them tone it down and was still to green for me. Ended up using it for 1st coat on weights. That's what makes this forum so good is all the different inputs from different people with different views and ideas. My tractors are far from being factory correct, but I do them to my own personal preference. I believe the tractors coming out of the factory had a slight difference in color from time to time. Believe me I am a long way from being an Oliver expert.

Well now I know why when I go to shows and see 50/55 series that have white looking trim vs. the original. It must be PPG Omni.
