Rim interchange

Looking for 6.00 x 16 front tire rims for a 1550 and was wondering if john deere rims would and maybe if they fit it would be better than now with one 14 and one 15

The lug pattern will probably fit but the dish may be different, when I bought my 1550 it had the front rims reversed because they were dished too deep changed them over to a set of AC rims that had the same dish as the Oliver does. Also there is a difference in the size of the center hole in some 6 lug rims, about 1/8" difference.

Maybe that explains something my wheels are turned out and maybe it's because of the wrong dish. I know a.c ,ford and john deere interchange I've a neighbor that switched them around for a picker.
I was thinking there the same but I've been wrong before.

All AC front rims aren't the same really on my D19 I can only run 7.50 X 16 tires on the original rims for it.I have JD rims on my 1550 diesel but 6.50 X 16 is as wide as I can go
7.50 would rub.I'm running New Holland baler rims on my 1365 2WD with 12.50 X 15 tires tried a few before I got a fit with that one.

Thats my problem the original tires are gone so it's time to experiment. I've tried to find used but not much luck but looking at the owners manual i can see what you mean by the dish and also there is no mention in the manual about reversing the front tires to give different spacing. Also on the build card information 6.00 is the recommended one for 1550 narrow front.

You might take a look at Tucker tire in Tenn, they sell tire/wheel sets for a pretty decent price. Tires/wheels show up from UPS truck already mounted, you air them up mount them and go. I went that route when I restored my 1550 a couple years ago because I had a pair of mismatched front rims and had to change tires and wheels. When I did the math, I couldn't buy a new set of rims and a set of tubes and tires, mount them, and beat their price. Its pretty painless, and they're sitting on your front door step in a couple of days.

By chance I'm getting ready to put new tires on the front of my 1600 Utility and was checking out rims today. My neighbor had given me a set of front rims off a Ford 3000 a few years ago
looks like they will work just fine only about a 1/4 inch dish difference between them and the Oliver rims on my 1600 now.The other difference is the weight bolt holes are round on the
Ford rims but I use bolt on front frame weights so no big deal.
