Hello Oliver 550 users:
Just located and bought an Oliver OEM external control valve for use on my Oliver 550 with blade, box-blade, orchard knife and landscape rake.
Now trying to decide which hydraulic top link (HTL) to get.
From other posts it appears that two HTL makers are mentioned in the posts:
FitRite:
http://www.fitritehydraulics.com/index.html
HayTools: (formerly C&C)
http://www.haytools.com/TNT.htm
Would like any user feedback on the use of either of these HTLs (OR any other makes of HTL)
used on an Oliver 550 with the OEM external valve.
The FitRite HTL does not appear to have built in check valves as does the HayTools.
It seems that the check valves that HayTools uses may help prevent cylinder
creep if the control valve has some leakage. Does the lack of check valves in the FitRite
make selection of the Haytools a preferred choice, to get around any control valve leaks?
Any feedback on this would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
