What is the sparkplug number for an 1850 gas. Is there a hotter number plug that works good for an older engine?

Thank you. That may be what it has now and that's OK. I also want to know if there is a hotter plug that is used. On my Farmall H and M it calls for D-16 sparkplugs but I use D-21. They seem to last longer in an older engine that doesn't get rowcrop duty anymore.

Ran into same problem with my dads m it was only on a loader and didn't get worked hard enough to burn the carbon off put a hotter plug in an ran fine. Now if any tractor fouls i just go to a hotter plug if it runs hot just get a cooler plug.

My son has had good luck with AC R45XLS and Champion RN14YC in his old (and lightly loaded...) 1850. They are hotter than the factory spec'd Champion RN11YC.
