A local used equipment dealer, former Kubota Dealer, farmer and antique collector, after 36 years in business, sold out Saturday about 25 miles from me. A very large crowd braved the steady downpour of rain from start to finish to buy the nearly 400 lots of everything from new tractors, old tractors , a car or two, some pedal tractors and lots of junk. Here is some of the results:
Oliver 88 Diesel Standard---$9500.00
White 2-70 open station w/1129 actual hours--$9000.00
Cletrac High Track -1920's $5500.00
T Model Ford -Nice $8000.00
Stacks and stacks of hang on weights-most all brought $1.00 per pound
Several Molines brought in the $4000.00 to 6000.00 range.

One of the best buys of the day, and I still don't know why I didn't bid more, except my wife gave me orders not to come home with another tractor, was a Nice little Cockshutt 20 with a loader and 3 Pt hitch only brought $2800.00 Good paint and ran like a top. I'm still kicking myself on this one.

Sale I attended last Saturday had two Oliver 1850 diesels, better of the two brought 3650, other one had a severe steering column leak, was bid up to 1800 but did not sell with a 2500 reserve. Restored MF 1135 with new radial rear tires brought 5100, repainted MF1100 diesel made it to 4400. There was a small three wheel gas cart from India, seated three, used a two cycle engine that brought 3000. There was a catch to this sale that buyers had to remember, a ten percent buyers premium charged on all items. Most auctioneers around here don't charge it..
