Super 99 Rear Axle Nut

Can anyone tell me if the rear axle nut is right hand or left handed threads...tried to move it but wanted to make sure I was going the correct way...just in case what is the thread size of the nut if I have to cut it off? Thanks for the help.

i believe its righthand

There right hand, but do you have the lock nuts like
the 990? Cause you should cut it off if so,
otherwise, they will snap loose in a hurry.

This is the style my super 99 has on it

You have the late 990 style lock nut, you should cut
them off or spread them with an air chisel then spin
them off or you'll risk damaging the threads.

Ok thanks for the heads up...do you know where I can find replacement nuts to put back on it? Thanks for the reply.
