I have just bought an Oliver Model 60 Row Crop which I am planning to rehab. I have discovered the Serial Number plate on the tractor and the number stamped into the engine belong to an IHC F 14 built in April of 1938. Did Oliver use IHC engines during the early 40s or was this tractor's engine possibly replaced by a previous owner?

Oliver used an oliver designed Waukesha. The
70 used a Continental. Someone switched it
out. Can't believe that F14 engine would
have powered the 60. Post a picture.

I think you are right. The electrical system on the tractor does not match the engine. No place for a starter, generator or battery. However there is a starter button and amp meter on the tractor. The F14 engine looks like it was a replacement. Thanks for the response.
