White converted to Oliver

Looking at a White 105 that has been pretty much trashed sheet metal wise . Would the sheet metal and front nose work off of a 1850 ? The 1850 when polished up in my opinion is a much prettier combo . Is the White tub the same as the Oliver ? What improvements did the White 105 have over the Oliver 1850 ? Did the hydraulic functions have a float position ?

Float valves were an option. The 105 will have closed center hydraulics. The Perkins in a 105 mounts different than the Perkins in an 1850. I would think sheet metal from a 55 series would maybe fit easier. You need to take a lot of measurements!

If it doesn't have a condenser for AC I think you'll be OK. I think if you take that rounded casting off the front, from there back it should be pretty much the same. With air,I believe your Oliver grill will be too thick. Like J. said,an 1855 hood would match up better at the back.

This is an open station tractor with a ROPS . Wouldn't consider doing this to a cabed tractor . Sorry for not posting that detail . On another note who has converted the hydraulic valves to a valve that has "float" ? Maibach said they don't have any factory valves , was an option but very rare . TIA

I have a 2/105 with cab with Oliver sheet metal on front have 1955 side panels on it condenser fits tight had to give up screen
