2-105 Bull pinion shaft leaking into brake housing?

Dealer told me I have to take the cab off to replace seal, is there any other way? Looking at the IT shop manual it looks as though there is a O-ring on the inside of the trans over the brake housing and then there is a pinion shaft seal that is visible after removing brakes. On one side it is obvious the seal is bad but the other side I can't tell. Years ago a buddy of mine helped me fix it and he put permitex around the brake housing and did not replace the seal. The owner of my dealer told me that could work and prevent us from taking the cab off and it did work for over ten years but none of us can remember the details and the guy who owned the dealer died so can't ask him anymore.

You're sure it's the seal and not the brake cylinder itself? I blew cylinder out on mine last year when I was planting corn. That one leaked out the weep hole in the bottom whenever I stepped on the brake pedal or set the parking brake with it running..

It definitely is not the brake cylinder and it up with 15 extra gallons of hydraulic oil in the transmission I think it's the PTO oh rings in the PTO clutch assembly
