1550 Oliver Cab

Hopefully you'll get other responses, but I went through a lengthy search for a cab for my 1650. I wanted a Hiniker cab, which is similar to a Year-A-Round cab in appearance but mounts differently. Both were made in Mankato, MN, for a variety of tractors. As far as Hiniker, the "same" cab fit all Oliver tractors, it was the mounts that changed based on the tractor size. The filler plates that block off openings around the cab were also different between large and small Olivers. I would hazard that the same mounts for 1650 and White 2-70 would work for 1550. I just kept advertising until I found a cab on a White 2-70 and then was persistent with the owner until we made a deal. Most cabs aren't that expensive, it's just finding one. I did come across a lot more for 1750 and larger tractors, but you would need to do some fabrication in order to get the cab to fit right on the smaller tractor.

I have a cab that came off an 1850. Kinda rusty, no windows. I fixed up the other one but spent WAY too much on cab glass. Instead of putting the cover plates back I just cut old carpet to kinda fit. Pretty cozy!

I have a cab on a 1650 that I just purchased. It's an all season cab. I wasn't planning on leaving it on. It's up here in ND though.

If i remember there is a difference in the latter 1550 fuel tank filler than the earlier ones . Having the gas cap in the cab might not be fun.
A second option would be a heathouser or canvas cab the heat from the motor will be a bonus

Would love to have it but I suspect the freight to VA would be a killer but I do know a company near me that has trucks run all over the USA and Canada. How much would you want for it?
