Can I add power steering to 550 Oliver is there an aftermarket unit or any other way to add power steering ?

I didn't see a price on the web page, but they are not cheap.

Kent Gordon in Texas parts out S55's and 550's- he replied to a post that's now on page 1 entitled 550 Oliver, and says he has cylinders- wonder if he might have the other parts, too? He posted his phone number there. I got lucky and found a parts tractor in a salvage yard with a set up, but they're pretty hard to find.

The early Super 55's had a different setup- a power-assisted steering box- I think they changed to the later steering cylinder type because the box on the early ones would break if you put on a loader and stressed it too much. You don't have a loader, and it would probably work fine on yours, if you could find one.

Does yours steer hard? Just wondering, because mine steered fine with manual steering, until I put the loader on. If yours steers hard, you might look at just rebuilding the steering box.

Noticed you have a hood extension on the right side on yours- I've never seen that, would sure be handy, because the voltage regulator (mounted on the generator) is right in the drip line.
